Reginald Snyder has held various positions in his 39-year career in the Metals and related industries. Beginning as a field engineer in the Pittsburgh area where steel manufacturing technologies were adapting to changing economic conditions, he later expanded his knowledge base with international mill commissioning assignments. Returning with a better understanding of plantwide customer concerns, he applied himself as a System Engineer and subsequently as Manager of Control Engineering. His present position as Chief Specialist, Metals Industries, permits the study of metals’ technology issues and the development of solutions for the Metals Industry.
Thomas Richards is originally from Michigan, although has lived most of his life in Southwest Virginia. He holds degrees from Virginia Tech (MSEE) and Michigan Tech (BSEE). Tom has worked serving the metals industry with GE Drive Systems, GE Toshiba , and TMEIC since the early 1980s. His background is the design of Automation Control Systems, various engineering leadership positions, and more recently as the Chief Specialist for Cold Rolling. Tom has authored and presented numerous technical papers for AISE and more recently AIST. Tom enjoys working with customers around the world to offer automation solutions to improve their operations. Tom is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Virginia.
